Winter Solstice, Full Moon & International Day of Yoga!

After darkness comes the light…

On these cold winter days we find ourselves small, quiet and contemplative. Like outside in nature, everything appears to be dormant, but a new cycle is about to begin; a magic is brewing…

The word solstice comes from the Latin - sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still). The winter solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year. On this day the Sun’s daily path pauses, before reversing direction. From here the days will only get longer, brighter and warmer!

Join me for this special Friday night workshop to explore the beauty and balance of this darkest day on the Full Moon; to embrace the relationship between surrender and action, darkness and light - with a balancing, grounding and restorative yoga practice.

We’ll work on connecting deeply with ourselves and honouring the rhythms of nature, and we’ll set strong foundations (and intentions) to invite stability and calm into the body and mind.

No experience necessary - everyone is welcome - BYO yoga mat.

International Day of Yoga

On 11 December 2014, the United Nations first proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga! The International Day of Yoga aims to celebrate and raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.

Welcome the new year with three mornings of nourishing yoga to recover from the silly season and prepare for the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead!

Experience the benefits of a regular daily practice and give yourself time and space to reflect, set new intentions and deepen your connection to self.

Day 1 - Releasing: this restorative class will soothe your nervous system and mind, and includes some basic pranayama (breathing).

Day 2 - Arriving: a grounding class to open the body, establish strong foundations and find balance in the body and mind.

Day 3 - Becoming: an energising class to ignite your internal fire, and build strength and resilience for the year ahead.
